On February 10, Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital visited three local social welfare facilities, including Sohyangwon, Hwasun Jaeawon, and Happy Town, and delivered a total of 3 million won in donations, providing 1 million won to each facility.
Representing the hospital on this visit were Heo Cheol, Head of General Affairs, and Jeong Youngmi, Head of Outpatient Nursing, who exchanged holiday greetings with the staff and expressed their hope that the support would help facility users and workers spend a warm holiday.
This donation was prepared to provide practical assistance to neighbors in need of care during the Lunar New Year holiday and to put into practice the value of mutual growth with the local community.
Hospital Director Min Jeongjun said, "As we visit local social welfare facilities ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, I find it very meaningful that, although it is a small gesture, we are able to share our hearts," adding, "I hope this will help, even in a small way, our neighbors in need of care to spend a warm holiday."
Since 2021, Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital has been consistently carrying out sharing activities by visiting local social welfare facilities and delivering donations every Lunar New Year and Chuseok holiday. Over the past five years, it has strengthened its ties with the local community by providing regular holiday support to a variety of welfare facilities in the region, including Hwasun Jaeawon, Sapyeong Yerang House, Areumdaun Silverville, and Hwasun Sarang’s House.
Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital plans to continue engaging with the local community and, as a public medical institution, to carry on social contribution activities that go beyond medical care to realize the values of sharing and mutual growth.
