Deloitte Korea Group, Jipyung Law Firm, and UnicoSearch signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 10th for an integrated corporate governance consulting service that covers everything from the appointment of directors to their operation and evaluation, as well as legal risk management. Deloitte explained that this collaboration, which brings together specialized institutions in law, management, and human capital, is a proactive response to market demand to advance corporate governance from a mere "formality" to a "working system."
Through this agreement, the three organizations will establish a mutually complementary collaboration framework based on their respective areas of expertise. Deloitte Korea Group will be responsible for diagnosing corporate governance, defining the roles of outside directors, establishing performance evaluation systems, and providing board education and operational advisory services based on global best practices. Jipyung Law Firm will focus on responding to regulations related to governance, including corporate law and the Capital Markets Act, and will support the legal coherence and stability of governance through the design of board operation structures, management of legal liability risks, and advisory services for dispute prevention. Leveraging its position as the holder of the largest talent database in Korea and its insights, UnicoSearch will identify optimal director candidate pools and, through its Board Lab, provide practical advisory services across the full spectrum of governance operations, including board operation diagnostics and external evaluations, succession programs, and capability management. As a result, companies will be able to receive seamless, one-stop integrated corporate governance consulting services, from the governance design stage to advanced board operations and legal risk management.
