RS Automation, an industrial motion-control specialist, announced on February 10 that it is actively expanding its high-precision robot motion platform technology into the field of energy control devices, including energy storage systems (ESS) and fuel cells.
Based on the servo drives, high-speed control algorithms, and real-time control software capabilities it has accumulated through industrial robots and automation equipment, RS Automation is expanding its business scope into large-capacity power conversion devices and energy control systems.
in earnest.
RS Automation believes that the real-time control experience it has accumulated in robot motion control will serve as a differentiated competitive edge in the energy control field as well. The company judges that high-speed, high-precision control technology is directly aligned with the core requirements of energy systems, such as responding to output fluctuations, parallel operation, and securing grid-connection stability.
RS Automation is already carrying out joint development and supply collaboration with major domestic conglomerates in the finished vehicle, heavy industry, and energy sectors, and has been solidifying its partnership with global power and energy company Schneider Electric after signing a strategic business agreement (MOU) in 2024.
A representative of RS Automation said, "Robotics and energy control may appear to be different industries, but at their core lies precise real-time control technology," adding, "We will secure mid- to long-term growth drivers by expanding our technology from a robot motion platform to encompass energy control devices as well."
