On the 10th, Yeo Hangu, Director General for Trade Negotiations at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, stated, "We will continue to communicate closely with the United States and seek mutually beneficial solutions for both Korea and the U.S."

Director General Yeo made these remarks at the 54th Trade Promotion Committee held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul on the same day, adding that "the government will respond as one team despite uncertainties in the trade environment with the United States."

The meeting was convened as a government-wide review to respond to the continuing trade uncertainty following the recent announcement by the United States of its plan to raise tariffs. The government shared the results of its consultations with the United States among relevant ministries and focused on discussing response measures to stably manage trade relations with the U.S., including implementation plans in non-tariff areas.

The government decided to accelerate follow-up measures related to the implementation of strategic investment in the United States, including the Special Act on Investment in the United States, and to review the implementation status of non-tariff measures reflected in the Joint Facts Sheet (JFS) of the Korea-U.S. summit. It also plans to closely discuss detailed implementation plans through follow-up consultations with the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR).

Director General Yeo emphasized, "At a time when uncertainty in the trade environment with the United States is increasing, it is important for the government to respond as one team," and requested, "I ask the relevant ministries to cooperate closely so that key issues in non-tariff areas can be managed stably without being linked to tariff measures."
