Hoengseong County in Gangwon Province is promoting the "2026 Hoengseong County Customized Youth Startup Support Project" to ease the financial burden on local young people who wish to start a business and to create sustainable jobs.
This project targets prospective young entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 45 who are registered residents of Hoengseong County, and provides each selected entrepreneur with 15 million won in startup support funds. The subsidy can be used for essential initial startup expenses such as store interior costs, new product development costs, material costs, promotional expenses, and rent. However, labor-related expenses, utility bills and other charges not directly related to the business, general office supplies, and asset formation costs are excluded from support.
Application documents and other details can be found in the notices section on the Hoengseong County website. The recruitment period runs from February 9 to March 13, and applications must be submitted in person to the Job Team of the Economic Policy Division of Hoengseong County.
