Cho Wooyoung has climbed to No. 387 in the world rankings.
In the official men's weekly world golf rankings announced on the 8th (local time), he earned 0.3736 points and jumped 161 spots from No. 548 last week. Cho Wooyoung accumulated ranking points by winning the Asian Tour season-opening Philippine Golf Championship the previous day. He won a gold medal in the men's team event at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. He is competing on both the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour and the Asian Tour.

He tied for third at the WM Phoenix Open on the PGA Tour, which concluded on this day in Scottsdale, Arizona, and moved up four spots from No. 30 last week. This is his personal best ranking, surpassing his previous career-high of No. 28 in 2017. Kim Siwoo has played in four PGA Tour events this year, recording one runner-up finish, one third place, and three top-10 finishes in total. His world ranking at the end of last year was No. 47.
Scottie Scheffler (United States), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Justin Rose, and Tommy Fleetwood (both England) held on to the top four spots. Among Korean players, Im Sungjae dropped six spots to No. 64. An Byeonghun, who has been playing on LIV Golf since this year, tied for ninth at the LIV Golf 2026 season opener in Riyadh the previous day, earning ranking points awarded to the top 10 players. He inched up from No. 111 last week to No. 107. Kim Joohyung is ranked No. 116, and Kim Sunghyun is No. 148.
