Yang Hyunsuk Of YG To Personally Judge Special Audition From Document Screening Stage

YG Entertainment announced on the 9th that it will hold a special audition to discover next-generation artists.

On the 5th, YG posted a notice titled "2026 YG Special Audition: GO! DEBUT" on its official blog. Along with a poster announcing the event, YG released a video showing the growth stories of its artists Treasure and Babymonster to encourage participation.

YG has been at the forefront of the K-pop boom by producing artists who are active on the global stage. Recently, it has been focusing on launching next-generation groups by strengthening its training system and shortening the period required for debut.

A key feature of this audition is that Chief Producer Yang Hyunsuk will personally oversee the very first stage, the document screening. YG stated, "Based on his determination to discover a major rookie who will follow in the footsteps of Bigbang and Blackpink, Chief Producer Yang will personally take part in the evaluation."

Applications for the audition will be accepted until the 28th through the YG audition website or via the QR code on the poster. Anyone born between 2007 and 2015 can apply, regardless of gender or nationality. Applicants must select one field in which they are most confident among singing, rap, dance, visual, and talent, and submit a video of up to one minute.
