HiteJinro announced on the 9th that, in celebration of the Lunar New Year, it has provided food ingredients to the "meal trucks" operated by social welfare organizations that run free meal services.
HiteJinro delivered rice, cooking oil, and other ingredients sufficient for about 60,000 servings, as well as 3,000 servings of holiday dishes consisting of sliced rice cakes for tteokguk and three types of jeon, to six meal-truck operating institutions nationwide, including Seoul, Incheon, Gwangju, Yeosu, Gimhae, and Daegu. These items will be offered as a "holiday table" prepared by HiteJinro, starting on the 12th, in line with each institution's meal truck operation schedule.
On the 5th, officials from HiteJinro, Wonbong Gonghoe, and the Community Chest of Korea posed for a commemorative photo after attending the "Lunar New Year Food Truck Meal Sharing" presentation ceremony at the Wonbong Gonghoe food truck in Heukseok-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

To ensure the items can be used even after the Lunar New Year, HiteJinro provided rice and cooking oil together, and it prepared holiday dishes consisting of tteokguk and jeon for vulnerable groups who are at high risk of missing meals during the holiday period. The support items were put together through "Mr. Appa," a fresh food ingredient startup in which HiteJinro has directly invested.
On the 5th, HiteJinro held a Lunar New Year sharing presentation ceremony at the Wonbong Gonghoe meal truck located in Heukseok-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by HiteJinro officials, Wonbong Gonghoe Executive Director Kang Woohee, and Yoo Cheolho, Manager at the Community Chest of Korea Seoul Office, among others.
Starting this year, HiteJinro plans to use "Phili," the character of its happoshu brand Filite, as a social contribution character. Based on its friendly image and value-for-money brand concept, the company plans to deliver messages of encouragement to neighbors at social contribution sites.
HiteJinro CEO Jang Inseob said, "For our first social contribution activity in 2026, we thought hard about what kind of support is actually needed at sharing sites," adding, "We will continue to listen closely to voices on the ground and carry out social contribution activities that provide practical help."
