Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on February 8 that it held an opening ceremony for the Pungyang Badminton Court in Naegak-ri, Jinjeop-eup, and officially opened the facility to local residents.

원본보기 아이콘The opening ceremony was organized to promote the health and vitality of local residents. Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, along with the local National Assembly member, provincial and city council members, community organizations, and residents attended and shared a meaningful time together.
Pungyang Badminton Court is a sports facility equipped with a total of five badminton courts. Convenience facilities such as an office, restrooms, showers, and a storage room have also been built to enhance user convenience.
The facility has been constructed on a site of approximately 900 square meters, with a total project cost of 4.6 billion won invested to create a pleasant sports environment. It is expected to become a space for everyday sports activities that any resident can use easily without burden in their daily lives.
Mayor Joo Gwangdeok said, "Badminton is a sport that people of all ages can easily enjoy, and I hope that with this opening, local residents will be able to lead healthier and more energetic lives," adding, "Going forward, we will do our utmost to improve the quality of life for citizens not only by expanding sports facilities, but also in various areas such as transportation, medical services, and welfare."
