Semits (CEO Namhong Min), a leading global provider of integrated AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) solutions for the semiconductor industry, announced on the 6th that it received preliminary approval for listing from the Korea Exchange on the 4th.
Semits is preparing to list on KOSDAQ through a merger with NH Special Purpose Acquisition Company No.29, in which the SPAC will be dissolved. Founded in 2014, Semits specializes in logistics automation systems that maximize the efficiency of advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes. The company is driving innovation in global semiconductor infrastructure through integrated solutions that encompass both hardware and software. Based on this competitiveness, the company has maintained a debt-free management structure and steadily growing results for more than 10 years since its establishment.
The company is the only domestic firm that possesses clean conveyor system technology for the semiconductor front-end process, an area with high technological entry barriers. Based on this technology, it has implemented flexible route design for each process and achieved industry-leading transport throughput. In addition, its non-modification nitrogen purge system, "S-Plate," which can be installed without altering the structure of existing equipment, reduces installation time by approximately 75% compared to competitors and eliminates the risk of voiding customers' equipment warranties, thereby securing strong dominance in the global market.
After listing, Semits plans to accelerate the development and commercialization of next-generation overhead transport robots (ceiling-mounted AMRs). Leveraging an advanced software platform that includes a swarm control system, the company intends to replace the existing OHT market and expand its business beyond semiconductors into the medical and general logistics industries.
Namhong Min, CEO of Semits, said, "This preliminary review approval is an official recognition of the competitiveness of Semits' global semiconductor AMHS integrated solutions in the semiconductor front-end logistics market, which had been dominated by foreign-made equipment," adding, "We will successfully establish ourselves in the KOSDAQ market and grow into a global unicorn that elevates the status of K-semiconductor equipment."
