Gijang County (County Governor Jeong Jongbok) announced on February 2 that it is accepting applications for the 'First Half Power Plant Surrounding Area Resident Welfare and Corporate Attraction Support Loan Program' to promote the stability of residents living near power plants and to revitalize local businesses.
This program is a financial support measure aimed at mutual growth with the areas surrounding power plants. It offers low-interest loans to residents of Jang-an-eup and Ilgwang-eup, as well as to businesses registered in these areas. Applicants must have been registered as residents or have operated a business in the relevant area since before the announcement date of January 26.
The loan limit is up to 10 million won for residents and up to 50 million won for businesses, with an annual interest rate of 2%. The repayment terms include a two-year grace period followed by three years of installment payments.
Recipients will be initially selected according to the loan priority scoring table established by Gijang County. Final approval will be granted after a review in accordance with NH Nonghyup Bank's credit management regulations.
Applications will be accepted from February 2 to February 13, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and lunch hours, at the administrative welfare centers in Jang-an-eup and Ilgwang-eup.
A Gijang County official stated, "We hope this loan program will help alleviate the financial burden on residents living near power plants and provide practical support for the stable growth and settlement of local businesses." The official also encouraged active interest and participation from local residents and businesses.
