BTS has received additional streaming certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, Big Hit Music announced on January 30.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the title track "Yet To Come" from the anthology album "Proof" and "Love Maze" from the third full-length album "LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear'" surpassed 100 million and 50 million cumulative streams, respectively, as of December last year. As a result, they were awarded "Platinum" and "Gold" certifications in the streaming category.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan grants certifications every month based on a song's cumulative number of streams: Gold for over 50 million, Platinum for over 100 million, and Diamond for over 500 million streams.
BTS currently holds a total of 16 Platinum and 48 Gold certifications. Notably, with "Dynamite" and "Butter," they are the only K-pop artists to have received Diamond certification.
BTS will release their fifth full-length album, "ARIRANG," on March 20 at 1 p.m., marking their first group activity in about three years and nine months. The new album, featuring a total of 14 tracks, explores themes of the group's identity, longing, and love.
Starting with a concert at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9, BTS will embark on a world tour spanning 82 shows across 34 cities worldwide. All tickets for the Goyang concert and 41 North American and European tour dates have already sold out. BTS will become the first Korean artists to hold solo concerts at venues such as Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, USA, and Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
