Korea Golf Association Sets Asian Games Prize Money
General Assembly Finalizes Annual Budget at 8 Billion Won

The Korea Golf Association will award a prize of 20 million won to gold medalists at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.


On January 29, the Korea Golf Association held its General Assembly at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, and finalized this year’s budget of 8 billion won, including the Asian Games prize fund. This year’s Asian Games prize amounts were set at 20 million won for a gold medal, 10 million won for a silver medal, and 5 million won for a bronze medal.

Kang Hyungmo, President of the Korea Golf Association, stated, “We will do our utmost to thoroughly prepare and provide support to achieve our goal of winning gold medals in all golf events at this year’s Asian Games.” The golf competition at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games will begin in the latter part of the event, starting on September 30 and concluding with medalists determined on October 3.


Meanwhile, the Korea Golf Association approved the membership of five new golf courses (Adenhill Resort & Golf Club, Elysian Gangchon, Elysian Jeju, Rosebian, and Jeonju Shangri-La) and passed amendments to its articles of association as originally proposed. At the awards ceremony following the General Assembly, the association recognized individuals and organizations for their contributions in various fields over the past year.
