Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 29th that Han Byungsoo, former Director of Planning and Port Affairs, has been appointed as the 7th President of Pyeongtaek Urban Corporation.

원본보기 아이콘The newly appointed President Han is recognized for his extensive experience and expertise in municipal administration, having worked for Pyeongtaek City for 32 years in various departments related to planning, budgeting, and corporate affairs. His term will last for three years, until January 2029.
President Han stated, "Pyeongtaek Urban Corporation is not merely an agency for development, but a public institution that designs the lives of citizens and the future of the city." He added, "Rather than focusing solely on performance and speed, I will prioritize direction and sustainability, and will strengthen the stability and public nature of the organization through careful and responsible decision-making."
Jeong Jangseon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek, commented, "I expect that the new President Han, with his long public service experience and comprehensive understanding of municipal administration, will manage the corporation in a stable and systematic manner."
