Orion's Turtle Chips expanded into South Africa and the United Arab Emirates last year. With this move, the brand has extended its K-snack road to Africa, in addition to its existing presence in Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania, now reaching all five continents.
Since November of last year, Orion has begun selling three varieties of Turtle Chips-'Corn Soup Flavor,' 'Choco Churros Flavor,' and 'Caramel Popcorn Flavor'-at over 300 premium SPAR supermarket locations in South Africa.
Turtle Chips, known for their rich four-layer texture and diverse flavors tailored to local consumer preferences, are growing into a global brand following in the footsteps of Choco Pie. Turtle Chips produced in Korea are exported to more than 20 countries, including the United States-the home of snacks-as well as the United Kingdom, Sweden, Australia, and Canada. In addition, overseas subsidiaries in countries such as China and Vietnam manufacture the product locally for their domestic markets.
Launched in 2017, Turtle Chips have expanded their global footprint by entering markets in Asia, the United States, Australia, and more. Last year, the brand entered Costco stores in the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Iceland, and in September, it was introduced to approximately 1,200 Carrefour stores across France, further expanding its presence in the European market. Turtle Chips are now sold in 30 countries across five continents, firmly establishing themselves as a leading K-snack product.
