World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) has evolved his game on the greens as well.

On January 25 (local time), at the Pete Dye Stadium Course (par 72, 7,210 yards) in La Quinta, California, Scottie Scheffler claimed a dominant four-shot victory at the American Express on the PGA Tour, which had a total prize purse of 9.2 million dollars.

This marked Scheffler’s first win of the season, coming two months after the Procore Championship in November last year. With this victory, he achieved his 20th career win on the PGA Tour, becoming only the third player in history-after Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods (both USA)-to earn a lifetime exemption before turning 30.

Scheffler is a player who excels with every club. He combines powerful driving distance, precise iron shots, steady green play, and strong mental fortitude. Last year, he ranked 44th in average driving distance at 308.3 yards, 11th in greens in regulation at 71.39%, 3rd in scrambling ability at 68.69%, and 4th in putts per hole at 1.693.

He displayed a flawless game in his first tournament of the year, showing no weaknesses. His putting was particularly impressive. On the final day of the tournament, he averaged 1.18 putts per hole, and over four rounds, 1.54 putts per hole-both ranking first.
