On January 26, Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Younghoon visited Sosohan Sotong Co., Ltd., which has taken the lead in implementing the "10 a.m. Start for Parents of Young Children" policy, and posed for a commemorative photo before holding an on-site meeting with employees. The "10 a.m. Start for Parents of Young Children" policy provides 300,000 won per month per employee to employers who allow workers to reduce their working hours by one hour per day without a pay cut in order to support childcare. Despite being a small company with fewer than 30 employees, Sosohan Sotong has taken the initiative in adopting this policy and is also actively implementing and operating various work-life balance programs such as parental leave, flexible working hours, a 4.5-day workweek, and workation.
