Curip Ointment is a combination product that contains five active ingredients (enoxolone, allantoin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, tocopherol acetate, and cetylpyridinium chloride hydrate) in a single formulation, providing effective treatment for various lip problems such as chapped lips, soreness, cheilitis, and angular cheilitis.

Since lip problems tend to be persistent and prone to recurrence, continuous care is important for effective treatment. Curip is an over-the-counter medication with proven efficacy and effectiveness, and it can be easily used like a lip balm, making it convenient for ongoing care from the early stages of lip trouble. In addition, its semi-transparent ointment formulation is barely noticeable when applied to the lips, and the slanted applicator allows for hygienic use without using your hands. Notably, it does not contain antibiotics or steroid ingredients, making it safe for use.

Based on these advantages, Curip Ointment has shown rapid growth since its launch. After achieving cumulative sales of 3 billion KRW within one year of its launch in July 2024, it reached cumulative sales of 5 billion KRW as of January this year, demonstrating its competitiveness as the only over-the-counter medication in Korea for chapped lips and cheilitis.

Recently, word of mouth among foreign tourists has also contributed to expanding the consumer base. In fact, the product has recorded high sales in areas frequently visited by foreigners, such as Hongdae, Gangnam, and Myeong-dong.

A representative from Dongwha Pharm stated, “Curip Ointment, as the only over-the-counter medication in Korea for chapped lips and cheilitis, has received a great response from consumers seeking lip care since its launch. With the release of the Mild Herb scent, we will do our best to introduce Curip to an even wider range of consumers by offering more choices.”
