The meeting was attended by the head of the private taxi association, executive committee members, and delegates.
During the meeting, taxi drivers shared their suggestions based on their experiences in the field, including: ▲ improvement of driver rest areas ▲ expansion and maintenance of taxi stands ▲ increased financial support for the taxi industry.
The city plans to promptly review matters that can be addressed immediately through the relevant departments, while issues requiring mid- to long-term consideration will be reviewed by each department to seek improvement measures.
Based on the feedback gathered at this meeting, the city will set priorities for taxi policy and will continue to review support measures to enhance the welfare of taxi drivers and ensure the stable operation of the taxi industry.
An official from Uijeongbu City stated, "The role of taxi drivers, who are responsible for citizens' transportation under challenging conditions, is important," adding, "Improving working conditions is directly linked to service quality, so we plan to review support measures based on feedback from the field."
