[Photo] KOSPI Surpasses 5,000 for the First Time Ever During Trading Session

On January 22, as the KOSPI surpassed the milestone index of 5,000, employees at the main branch dealing room of Hana Bank in Jung-gu, Seoul, celebrated with applause. On this day, the KOSPI opened at 4,987.06, up 77.13 points (1.57%) from the previous session, and quickly crossed the 5,000 mark. This achievement came in less than three months since the index surpassed 4,000 points on October 27 of last year.
