As the KOSPI reached an all-time intraday high, the status board at the Hana Bank headquarters dealing room in Jung-gu, Seoul on January 8 displayed the KOSPI, the won/dollar exchange rate, and the KOSDAQ. On this day, the KOSPI opened at 4,531.46, down 19.60 points (0.43%) from the previous session, while the won/dollar exchange rate started at 1,449.7 won, up 3.9 won from the previous session.
