On December 11, OK Financial Group announced the launch of the recruitment process for the 16th class of OK Baejeong Scholarship recipients, which provides undergraduate and graduate students with up to 2 million won per month until graduation from their regular academic term.
The OK Baejeong Scholarship is the largest living expense scholarship program in Korea, offering up to 2 million won per month until graduation to diligent and talented undergraduate and graduate students.
The 16th class recruitment targets students who will cover the full tuition for the second semester of next year through internal or external scholarships, including current undergraduate and graduate students.
Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled in a regular four-year university, either in Korea or abroad. They must submit transcripts for at least two semesters, have a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 4.5, and fall within the 8th income bracket or below.
Graduate (Master’s and Doctoral) students must be enrolled in a regular four-year graduate school, either in Korea or abroad. They are required to submit transcripts for at least one semester (doctoral candidates who are about to enroll are also eligible), have a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 4.5, and be within the 8th income bracket or below.
The foundation will accept online applications through its website until January 12 of next year. After document screening and interviews, the final scholarship recipients will be announced in February. Selected students in the 16th class will receive up to 2 million won per month from the first semester of next year until graduation from their regular academic term.
The foundation operates various educational and exchange programs to support the continuous growth and leadership development of its scholarship recipients.
The “OK Baejeong Scholarship Workshop,” held twice a year in the first and second halves, has become a platform for networking and collective growth among scholars. The foundation also offers events such as “Law School Night” for those who have entered the legal profession, and “Global Mentoring” led by overseas Korean students.
Choi Yoon, Chairman of the Foundation and Chairman of OK Financial Group, stated, “I hope this scholarship empowers students to shape their futures and serves as a driving force for their relentless pursuit of learning. The foundation will continue to be a strong supporter so that the next generation of talent, not only in Korea but around the world, can focus on their studies and career paths.”
