Ok Taehoon, the top player on the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) Tour, is aiming to join the PGA Tour in the United States.
Starting December 11 (local time), he will compete in the PGA Tour Qualifying (Q) School Final, which will be held over four days in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. A total of 176 players will participate in this event. The top five finishers will earn eligibility to play on the PGA Tour for the 2026 season, while the next 40 players will receive Korn Ferry (second-tier) Tour cards. Representing Korea are Ok Taehoon, Noh Seungyul, and Bae Yongjun.

원본보기 아이콘This year, Ok Taehoon secured three victories on the KPGA Tour, sweeping major categories such as the Genesis Grand Prize, prize money, scoring average, and most wins. As the Genesis Grand Prize winner, he earned a direct entry into the PGA Tour Q School Final. He departed for the United States on December 5.
Ok Taehoon stated, "I left early to adjust to the time difference and familiarize myself with the course. I plan to play the course a couple of times and develop a detailed course management strategy while practicing." He added, "I believe the U.S. stage is on a different level compared to the domestic tour. I have refined every aspect of my game, including physical conditioning and technical skills. In particular, I devoted a lot of time to putting and iron shots."
Ok Taehoon identified overcoming psychological pressure as a key factor. He said, "It is important to overcome psychological pressure. Since I came to the U.S. as part of a team with a trainer, putting coach, and professional caddie, I will strive to achieve the best results through optimal teamwork." He concluded, "Thanks to the unwavering support from my fans, I was able to consistently perform well throughout the season. I sincerely want to thank all the fans for their support."
