If he remains within the top 50 in the world rankings by the end of this year, he will qualify to compete in the Masters, the prestigious tournament held in April next year.
Kim competed in the Masters for eight consecutive years from 2017 to 2024, but did not qualify for this year's event. His best Masters finish is a tie for 12th place in 2021. In major championships, his top result this year was a tie for eighth at the PGA Championship.
