Kim stated, "Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1980, Korea and the UAE have consistently broadened the scope of their cooperation," and added, "As a financial institution, we will take the lead in ensuring that the partnership between our two countries continues for the next 100 years and beyond, extending to future generations."

He also remarked, "Korea and the UAE share a DNA that turns crises into opportunities, embraces change without fear, and aspires to build long-term, trust-based relationships," stressing that "the role of finance is crucial in building a sustainable financial partnership between our two nations."

Kim highlighted the importance of practical and sustainable cooperation with Abu Dhabi.

He stated, "Based on Abu Dhabi's advanced market infrastructure, we will work together to create a new financial ecosystem," and predicted, "Future cooperation between the two countries will expand primarily in the financial sector, including joint investment in real assets, supply chain finance, enhancement of cross-border payment infrastructure, and the establishment of digital asset platforms."

Kim further expressed, "I hope the journey that Abu Dhabi and Korea embark on together will become the global benchmark for future finance," affirming Hanwha Financial Group's commitment to working closely with the UAE as a core partner in the transition to next-generation finance.

Hanwha Life Insurance, Hanwha General Insurance, Hanwha Asset Management, and Hanwha Investment & Securities-the four financial affiliates of Hanwha Financial Group-participated as premier partners at ADFW 2025.

ADFW is the largest financial event in the Middle East, hosted by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. It has established itself as a platform where major global financial leaders gather to discuss key agendas and directions for cooperation in the future of finance.

This year, ADFW is focusing on the theme "Engineering the Capital Network," discussing ways to redesign the flow of global capital and build a new financial operating system that integrates traditional and digital finance. In addition, next-generation financial infrastructure transformations, such as on-chain finance and the structuring of real-world asset-based digital assets, are being addressed as core topics.
