Showcasing AI Use Cases That Enhance Work Efficiency

GS Engineering & Construction announced on December 9 that it held the "AI Recipe" competition to strengthen its employees' capabilities in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI).

In August, GS Engineering & Construction became the first construction company in Korea to introduce ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI's enterprise AI solution, and shared use cases within the company.

This competition served as an opportunity to share real-life cases where AI was used to enhance work efficiency. More than 50 AI utilization cases from the field were submitted, and department heads evaluated them based on usefulness, innovation, and scalability. Four outstanding cases were ultimately selected and demonstrated to all employees.

Ideas such as automating repetitive tasks and improving data analysis efficiency using AI-like automatically converting document file names for easier organization on site-received positive feedback from employees. A GS Engineering & Construction employee who participated in the AI Recipe competition commented, "By sharing examples of how AI was efficiently used in our work, the barriers to adopting AI have been lowered."

GS Engineering & Construction plans to continuously identify and share outstanding cases of AI application in work. Based on the accumulated best practices, the company also intends to strengthen its AI utilization training programs.

At this year's executive workshop, Yoonhong Heo, CEO of GS Engineering & Construction, emphasized, "AI is no longer a matter of choice; it is a matter of survival to adapt to and lead in a changing environment." GS Engineering & Construction plans to expand AI-driven work innovation through ongoing collaboration with OpenAI.

A company representative stated, "Utilizing AI is not merely about adopting new technology; it is a strategic choice for work innovation," adding, "We will actively foster a culture where employees can freely use AI and share their experiences with one another."
