It’s not over until it’s over. The festival that energized Dongbu Yangsan is now packing up and heading west.
The first edition of the 'ONgolmok Warmth Festival,' organized by Yangsan City, South Gyeongsang Province to revitalize the local economy at the end of the year, was successfully held on December 6 near 3, Pyeongsan Jungang 1-gil, drawing an enthusiastic response from citizens.
To keep the festive spirit alive, the city will host the second edition of the event on December 13 in the area around Yari 2-gil, Mulgeum-eup. The event will feature performances by popular singers such as Lula, Hong Kyungmin, Chae Yeon, and Yang Ji-won, as well as promotional and sales booths for local businesses, photo booths, retro arcade experiences, and a variety of events designed to boost consumption and encourage visits to local stores.
The special 18% cashback event for the Yangsan Love Card, running during the festival period (December 5-16), has also attracted significant attention from citizens and is helping to boost sales for local businesses. The 18% cashback rate is the highest offered this year, and it is being recognized for maximizing the event’s impact on local consumption.
Based on the monthly spending limit of 700,000 won, participants can receive up to 126,000 won in cashback. The eligible area has also been expanded from specific neighborhoods to all commercial districts throughout Yangsan.
A Yangsan City official stated, “We heard firsthand accounts that the recent Dongbu Yangsan event brought warmth to the local economy. We will do our best to ensure that the upcoming Seobu Yangsan event is enjoyable for citizens and provides real support for local merchants, so that warmth and vitality can spread throughout neighborhood businesses during the year-end season.”
