This contest was hosted and organized by Gyeongbuk Province and the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization. It aimed to enhance the professionalism of cultural tourism guides by facilitating exchanges and sharing interpretive know-how among guides from each city and county, thereby improving visitor satisfaction.

Lee Kyungae received high praise and was awarded the gold prize for presenting the historical facts and on-site cases of Dokdo in a clear and easily understandable manner.

With this achievement, Lee Kyungae has also qualified to represent Gyeongbuk Province at the "National Korean Cultural Tourism Guide Contest." This accomplishment is especially meaningful as it demonstrates that Ulleungdo’s historical and cultural interpretation capabilities are recognized at a national level.

County Governor Nam Hankwon stated, "The efforts of Ulleung County’s cultural tourism guides to correctly promote the island’s history and culture have borne fruit with this award. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen the capabilities of our guides and provide systematic educational support to enhance the quality of tourism services and accurately promote the region’s history and culture."
