Until the early morning of Friday, December 5, snow or rain is expected to continue along the west and east coasts of North Jeolla Province, the western inland areas of South Gyeongsang Province, and Jeju Island.

In addition, some areas in the inland northern part of South Chungcheong Province, the eastern inland of South Jeolla Province, North Gyeongsang Province, and the inland western regions-excluding Ulsan and the inland areas of South Gyeongsang Province-may also see light flurries of less than 0.1 cm of snow in the early morning.

In regions where snow or rain has fallen since the previous day, icy roads and patches of black ice are likely to appear, so commuters should exercise caution for traffic safety in the morning.

Morning lows are expected to range from -11 to 2 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs from 1 to 9 degrees Celsius, both lower than average for this time of year.

With cold wave warnings issued for the northeastern part of Gyeonggi Province, the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, and the northeastern mountainous regions of North Gyeongsang Province, morning temperatures in most areas nationwide will hover around -5 degrees Celsius (with the inland and eastern areas of northern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and northeastern mountainous regions of North Gyeongsang dropping below -10 degrees Celsius), resulting in very cold conditions.

Daytime temperatures will also fall to around 5 degrees Celsius (around 0 degrees Celsius in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province), and with strong winds, the wind chill will make it feel even colder.

The air will remain extremely dry for the time being in the mountainous and east coastal regions of Gangwon Province, the northeastern mountainous and east coastal regions of North Gyeongsang Province, and some areas in South Gyeongsang Province including Daegu, Busan, Ulsan, Changwon, and Gimhae. Residents are advised to be cautious to prevent small sparks from developing into large fires.
