Donga University Hosts "NVIDIA RTX AI PC Campus Seminar" to Share Latest GPU-Based AI Technologies

Over 500 Participants Join Seminar and Hands-On Booths
Supporting the Enhancement of Practical AI and Software Skills

Donga University (President Lee Hae-woo) hosted the "NVIDIA RTX AI PC Campus Seminar," providing an opportunity to share the latest GPU-based AI technologies and industry trends.

This event was organized with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) as part of the "Software-Centered University Project," and was jointly hosted by the Donga University Software Innovation Center and NVIDIA Korea.

The seminar featured a combination of programs, including lectures and hands-on booths, to help students strengthen their practical skills in AI and software.

The event, held on November 24 at the Seunghak Campus, attracted over 500 students. It introduced the latest trends in NVIDIA GeForce RTX-based AI technology, RTX AI demonstrations, and real-world experiences from industry developers, offering a broad learning opportunity in AI and graphics fields.

The main lecture took place in Cheongchon Hall, with a live broadcast in Gyeongdong Hall. At the seminar, NVIDIA executives Lee Deuk-woo and Choi Ik-tae presented on GPU and AI trends and demonstrated RTX AI. This was followed by a developer session sharing practical experiences from the industry, providing hands-on insights.

At the experience booths set up in Complex Hall of Engineering Building 5 and other locations, partner companies NVIDIA and HP offered AI model execution experiences, exhibited RTX desktops and laptops, provided AI developer consultations, and hosted SNS events. Through these activities, students were able to directly observe the advantages and technical features of local AI computing environments.

Students who participated in the event responded positively, saying, "The technical explanations were clear," "The introduction to industry trends was helpful," and "I wish programs like this were held more often." Some also suggested, "It would be even better if there were more explanations about AI application cases and the advantages of local AI computing."

A representative from the Donga University Software Innovation Center stated, "This was a practical learning opportunity where students could directly experience the latest RTX-based AI technologies and communicate with experts," adding, "We will continue to strengthen empirical AI and software education to support students in exploring career paths and enhancing their technical expertise."

Director Lee Seok-hwan emphasized, "This seminar was meaningful in that it offered both the latest GPU and AI technologies and practical perspectives from the industry," and added, "We were able to provide a deeper learning experience through hands-on programs."

The Donga University Software Innovation Center is striving to foster future digital talent by enhancing AI and software education innovation, operating empirical extracurricular programs, and strengthening industry-linked education based on the Software-Centered University Project.
