On December 3, NongHyup Financial Group officially announced the Group Consumer Protection Charter at the Internal Control Council held at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, and declared its company-wide commitment to protecting the rights and interests of financial consumers.
At the council meeting, Chanwoo Lee, Chairman of NongHyup Financial Group, and the vice presidents jointly pledged to the charter, delivering a group-wide message both internally and externally about their commitment to customer-centric and responsible management.
This charter establishes common standards of practice for all group employees to strengthen the consumer protection system, lead a customer-centric financial culture, prevent incomplete sales and unsound business practices that may disadvantage consumers, and safely manage personal information to establish a transparent information protection culture.
Chanwoo Lee, Chairman of NongHyup Financial Group, stated, "The proclamation of this Group Consumer Protection Charter is not just a declaration, but a starting point for all group employees to establish a customer protection culture that puts consumers first," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in realizing sustainable finance based on customer trust."
