Standard Chartered Bank Korea announced that it held the 'VIP Gala Dinner with Liverpool Legends' on the 1st at The Great Hall of Chosun Palace Seoul Gangnam Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, with more than 160 VIP clients, executives, and employees in attendance.
Standard Chartered Bank Korea set the theme of the event as 'Anfield in Seoul,' recreating the lobby area with distinctive elements of 'Anfield,' the home stadium of Liverpool FC in the United Kingdom, to give clients the feeling of having visited Liverpool’s Anfield. This was designed to allow guests to experience the unique brand strengths and differentiation of Standard Chartered Bank Korea by indirectly participating in the 'Trip to Anfield (Liverpool Match Viewing Event),' a global client experience program based on the partnership between Standard Chartered (SC) Group, the parent company, and Liverpool.
To achieve this, the bank created a 360-degree rotating photo zone featuring 3D representations of the players’ locker room, the stadium entrance tunnel known as the Anfield Tunnel, and the main stand of the stadium. There were also photo zones replicating the press conference room and a realistic recreation of the interior of the 'Standard Chartered Box' lounge, which is specially operated for VIP clients of Standard Chartered Group.

On November 29, the bank also held the 'Liverpool Soccer School with Standard Chartered Bank Korea,' a special football education program for children who love soccer, at the Sangam DMC Indoor Futsal Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Jason McAteer and coaches from the Liverpool International Academy provided training to about 100 elementary school children, who are children of private banking and corporate clients.
Park Sungchun, Head of Marketing Communication Group (Executive Director) at Standard Chartered Bank Korea, said, "This event was made possible through our partnership with Liverpool, which has been sponsored by our parent company, Standard Chartered Group, as the main partner for 16 consecutive years since 2010. It was a meaningful occasion to showcase the unique strengths and differentiation of our bank, which has global capabilities, to our private banking and corporate clients." He added, "We will continue to organize a variety of client experience events through our ongoing partnership with the global sports brand Liverpool."
