Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation Reviews Bid Guidelines for Site Preparation Construction... Accelerates Bid Announcement Within the Year

Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation has entered a key procedure to commence the site preparation construction, accelerating the progress of the project.

On December 2, the corporation held a Construction Technology Advisory Committee meeting in the main conference room on the 16th floor of its headquarters to review the bid guidelines for the site preparation construction.

The bid guidelines are a crucial document for companies participating in the project, as they outline the bidding and contract standards, eligibility review criteria, methods for selecting successful bidders, as well as evaluation and penalty standards.

Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation is conducting a review of the bid invitation for the site preparation construction.

This review is the first legal procedure following the site preparation construction project briefing held on November 26. Fourteen experts in fields such as airport construction, port and marine engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and environmental studies participated in the advisory committee to examine the contents of the bid guidelines. The corporation plans to finalize the project implementation plan by incorporating the discussed matters and will then request the Public Procurement Service to proceed with the contract.

Park Sungchul, Head of Construction at the corporation, stated, "We are thoroughly preparing the procedures so that the bid announcement for the site preparation construction can be made within this year," adding, "Even after the bid announcement, we will swiftly and systematically carry out the subsequent steps, from selecting contractors to commencing the main construction, to ensure that the construction of Gadeokdo New Airport proceeds without any setbacks."
