SeAH Group announced on December 1 that it has carried out its regular executive appointments for 2026.

원본보기 아이콘Through this round of appointments, which includes 15 promotions and 1 new appointment, SeAH Group aims to further strengthen its core manufacturing competitiveness despite an uncertain business environment characterized by expanding global trade pressures, prolonged stagnation in steel demand, continued supply surplus from China, and the accelerating trends of artificial intelligence (AI), eco-friendliness, and energy transition. In addition, the group plans to harness innovative thinking and collective intelligence to seek breakthroughs that will enable it to achieve a leap beyond mere survival and toward creating an overwhelming competitive edge.
To this end, the latest appointments have placed talented individuals in key positions who will drive organizational transformation with insight and fresh perspectives, stabilize overseas operations and secure leadership in global markets, and lead comprehensive innovation in portfolio expansion targeting high-value new markets, as well as in cost, quality, and speed.
Geonhoon Park, who has been appointed CEO of SeAH Changwon Specialty Steel, was born in 1964. He worked as the Rolling Team Leader at SeAH Besteel from 1990 to 2015, and since joining SeAH Changwon Specialty Steel in 2015 as Head of Small Production, he has served as Head of Large Production (Director), Head of Pipe Production (Director), Head of Sales (Managing Director), and Managing Director of Business Operations.
Kyuhan Baek, Executive Director of SeAH Steel Holdings, joined the SeAH Steel Technology Research Institute in 1992 and has held positions including Head of Advanced Research, Director of Gunsan Plant, and Managing Director of Pohang Plant. Younggil Byun, Executive Director of SeAH Steel, joined the accounting team at SeAH Steel in 1992 and has served as Director of Finance and Managing Director of Sales. Starting January next year, he will serve as Head of the Sales Division and Head of Pipe Sales at SeAH Steel.
In addition, Hyonyong Cho of SeAH Steel, Ohyun Kwon of SeAH Besteel, and Hokyung Kim of SeAH Changwon Specialty Steel were promoted to Managing Director, while Kyunghoon Kook of SeAH Steel Holdings, Sangryul An of SeAH Steel, Jaehong Kim of SeAH Steel, and six others were promoted to Director, making a total of nine new Directors.
A SeAH Group representative stated, "Even amid these challenging business conditions, we will continue our journey toward becoming a centennial company, powered by the strong execution unique to SeAH employees, a fearless spirit of challenge, and the ability to solve problems by focusing on fundamentals."
