Hyundai Construction Secures Jangwi 15 District Contract... Annual Orders Reach 10.5 Trillion Won

Hyundai Construction announced on December 1 that it has secured the construction contract for the Jangwi 15 District Housing Redevelopment Project in Seoul. Excluding VAT, the project is valued at 1.466 trillion won, bringing the company's total annual orders for maintenance projects to 10.5105 trillion won.

This surpasses Hyundai Construction’s previous record for annual maintenance project orders, which was 9.3395 trillion won in 2022, by more than 1 trillion won. This also marks the first time that a domestic construction company’s annual order volume for such projects has exceeded 10 trillion won. Additionally, the company has maintained its position as the industry leader for seven consecutive years since 2019.

The company’s success is attributed to winning major large-scale projects in Seoul. The contract for Apgujeong District 2 alone is worth 2.7489 trillion won. Other trillion-won projects include the redevelopment of Sutaek-dong in Guri (1.9648 trillion won, with Hyundai holding a 70% stake) and Gaepo Jugong Complexes 6 and 7 in Seoul (1.5138 trillion won), totaling four projects each exceeding 1 trillion won.

According to the company, the cumulative order volume for urban maintenance projects by the top 10 domestic construction companies this year stands at approximately 50 trillion won. The industry sees this as nearly double the figure from last year. The company explained that it achieved this record by securing comprehensive competitiveness in construction capability, brand value, and project management expertise.

A Hyundai Construction representative stated, "We will strengthen our order strategy centered on mega-scale projects such as Apgujeong District 3, lead the residential paradigm, and expand into future growth sectors."
