During the festival, more than 25,000 people visited, experiencing a special night as the beautiful nightscape of the Pohang Canal blended with a retro-style street of food stalls for both citizens and tourists.

The event featured 22 food pocha stalls and 15 flea market booths centered around the Flower Tree main stage, offering a wide variety of food and entertainment. Continuous performance programs, including citizen club performances and the Moonlight Pocha Concert, provided a rich array of attractions for festival-goers.

In particular, the festival recreated the nostalgic atmosphere of Pohang’s traditional food stalls by setting menu prices at a reasonable level of around 10,000 KRW, allowing everyone to enjoy the event without burden and to relive the charm of past pocha culture.

Pohang City introduced reusable containers throughout the entire festival area and adopted eco-friendly management practices that minimized the use of disposable products, aiming to develop the festival into a local ESG-oriented night tourism model.

Additionally, by expanding the participation of local traditional markets and merchants’ associations, the festival offered menus and foods that reflected the unique characteristics of the region, striving to create a sustainable night tourism model where the local commercial district and the festival grow together.

The festival featured a variety of programs, including performances by popular singers Park Seojin and Hwang Inwook, a talk show with poets Ji Sangryeol and Kang Wonsuk, and a mini fireworks display along the Pohang Canal waterfront, providing unforgettable memories for citizens and tourists alike.

Visitors commented, "The brightly lit and bustling scenery of the Pohang Canal reminds me of the old food stall streets," and "It’s very satisfying to enjoy a variety of foods and performances with my family at affordable prices."

Pohang City evaluated that this festival strengthened its collaborative structure with local traditional markets and merchants’ associations, and presented a night tourism program model that is accessible to everyone through its affordable pricing policy.

Lee Sanghyun, Head of the Tourism & Convention City Promotion Headquarters, stated, "Moonlight Pocha is a special festival created together by citizens, tourists, and local merchants," adding, "We will continue to promote festivals where everyone prospers, further revitalizing the local economy and expanding ESG practices."
