Why Did Yangsan Deputy Mayor Visit the Helicopter Base?... Kim Shinho Inspects and Encourages Wildfire Prevention and Helicopter Response Teams

Kim Shinho, Deputy Mayor of Yangsan City, visited the wildfire prevention patrol site and helicopter response facilities on the 27th to inspect the sites and encourage the wildfire prevention and suppression team as well as helicopter personnel.

Deputy Mayor Kim first visited the helicopter base located in Jeungsan-ri, Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan City, to check the overall helicopter operations and response system.

The wildfire suppression helicopter currently in use is the Daejin Airlines HL9319 model, which is equipped with a Bambi Bucket capable of carrying 2,300 liters of water and is actively deployed in wildfire suppression efforts. Kim Shinho asked Captain Lee Heungyoung to ensure thorough safety management of the helicopter and to do his utmost to respond swiftly to wildfires when they occur.

Kim Shinho stated, "As the risk of wildfires increases due to dry winter weather and strong winds, please remain vigilant and do your best in monitoring and response efforts." He also emphasized, "To keep Yangsan safe from wildfires, I ask all citizens to pay special attention to wildfire prevention, such as refraining from burning near forested areas, and to actively cooperate."
