‘College Admission Compass’ Arrives in Ulleungdo... First One-on-One Customized Admission Strategy Briefings and Consulting Launched

A Special Three-Day, Two-Night College Admission Camp

Just as a ship crosses rough waves, new pathways for career exploration have opened in Ulleung’s education.

Ulleung County in North Gyeongsang Province will operate an experiential college admission camp for students of Ulleung Middle School and Ulleung High School from November 28 to 30.

This program was designed to enhance educational equity and reduce regional education gaps by providing Ulleung students with college admission briefings and one-on-one consulting services, which are typically only available on the mainland.

For this experiential college admission camp, three professional instructors currently active in college admission counseling and special lectures in Daechi-dong, Seoul, have been invited. On the morning of November 28, a high school credit system and college admission briefing will be held for all grades at Ulleung Middle School. In the afternoon, a college admission strategy session will be provided for all grades at Ulleung High School.

From November 29 to 30, one-on-one customized college admission consulting will be offered to pre-registered students in grades 1 and 2 at Ulleung High School and grade 3 at Ulleung Middle School. Through these consultations, students will receive systematic support for individual academic and career planning tailored to the changing college admissions system.

County Governor Nam Hankwon stated, "This experiential college admission camp, organized as Ulleung County was designated as a pilot area for the Special Educational Development Zone, will provide the first-ever one-on-one customized college admission consulting opportunities in Ulleung. This will greatly assist students in independently planning their academic paths." He added, "Ulleung County will continue to promote customized educational support policies that provide practical help to both students and parents."
