'Rice Cake Healing' Warms Ulleungdo... A Winter Recharged with Love and Sharing

The pure sea breeze of Ulleungdo has spread the warm and chewy spirit of love throughout the island.

On November 26, the Ulleung Saemaeul Association in North Gyeongsang Province held the "Rice Cake Sharing Event of Love" to put into practice the values of neighborly love and sharing, delivering warmth and kindness to local residents.

This event was organized to foster a spirit of community care and to encourage neighbors to share warm hearts as winter approaches. Saemaeul members personally prepared and packaged rice cakes and beef, which will be delivered to more than 300 households in need, including elderly residents living alone and other vulnerable groups within the county.

More than 30 Saemaeul members, including Lee Jeongho, President of the Ulleung Saemaeul Association, carefully packaged the gifts with the hope that neighbors facing the cold winter will always enjoy good health and happiness.

County Governor Nam Hankwon expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate the warm sharing activities of the Ulleung Saemaeul Association, which always puts residents first. The county government will also continue to focus on ensuring that no one in Ulleung County falls through the cracks of the welfare system."

The Ulleung Saemaeul Association has been consistently contributing to the formation of a local community by carrying out various social contribution projects every year, such as kimchi sharing, environmental clean-up activities, and elderly care programs.
