NH NongHyup Bank announced on the 25th that it held the "2nd ESG Promotion Committee Meeting of 2025" at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul to enhance its ESG competitiveness.
The ESG Promotion Committee is a consultative body overseeing NongHyup Bank's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management strategies. During this meeting, participants discussed the final report on the Green Loan Management Guidelines response project, greenhouse gas reduction measures at the NH Integrated IT Center, and the bank’s ESG direction for the coming year.
This year’s key achievements included establishing a system for assessing green loan eligibility, directly signing power purchase agreements (PPAs) to expand the transition to renewable energy, and attaining the highest ratings in both local reinvestment and ESG governance evaluations. The bank also carried out various social initiatives, such as expanding financial education for financially marginalized groups including out-of-school youth, and creating "Happy Spaces" for children in rural communities.
