On November 25, LS Group held a board meeting and announced its executive appointments for 2026, including the promotion of President Koo.

President Koo changed his title from Executive Vice President to President just one year after serving as CEO of LS MnM. He is a third-generation owner of LS Group. Since taking charge of the company last year, he has been credited with rapidly restoring profitability in the traditional smelting business through efficient management, such as increasing precious metals sales. The company expects President Koo to take a leading role in building the electric vehicle materials ecosystem-one of the group's core visions-by fostering key secondary battery material businesses, including nickel sulfate and precursors.

In addition to President Koo, LS decided on a total of nine promotions. Three executives were promoted to Executive Vice President: Kilyoung Ahn and Daeseok Chae (both from LS Electric), and Euije Jo (LS ITC). Five were promoted to Senior Vice President: Choonghee Lee, Ukdong Jo, Woobeom Park, and Wonho Yoon (all from LS Electric), and Sangmoo Kim (E1). The following were promoted to Vice President: Jinho Lee, Jongseop Choi, and Haeun Choi (all from LS Electric); Seunggon Lee and Donghwan Kim (both from LS MnM); Indeok Song (LS Mtron); Changwoo Lee (INVENI); Eunil Kim (Yesco); and Geunsik Kim (Gaon Cable).

Additionally, twelve new directors were appointed: Yekyu Ji, Siho Son, and Changwoo Yoo (all from LS Cable & System); Dongil Yoo, Junseok Park, Gyutae Choi, and Seungtaek Baek (all from LS Electric); Jeongtae Lee (LS MnM); Myunghoon Kim (LS Mtron); Kihun Kang (E1); Jehwan Lee (Yesco); and Youngho Kim (Gaon Cable).

Regarding these appointments, LS explained, "By retaining most of the CEOs of major affiliates, we aim to minimize organizational changes and focus on stabilization and efficiency." The company added, "At the same time, we are accelerating achievements in new businesses to realize the group's vision and secure future opportunities."

Based on these personnel changes, LS also stated that it plans to further accelerate Chairman Jaeun Koo's strong push for 'Vision 2030 Management' next year, while responding to internal and external uncertainties and crises.
