Gyeongnam Information University, known as "Busan's representative community college," recently operated a community service booth at the National Saemaul Leaders Conference held at Dadaepo Beach. The booth, titled "Foot Health Screening and Health Consultation Service Experience," utilized the expertise of students from the Department of Physical Therapy to provide services to the local community.

원본보기 아이콘This experience booth was jointly organized by the university’s School Enterprise Support Team and the Department of Physical Therapy, targeting seniors and local residents. A variety of services were offered, including foot structure and balance measurements, personalized consultations using individual foot health checklists, guidance on the use of ankle braces, and education on healthy lifestyle habits and stretching. The booth received an enthusiastic response from citizens.
In particular, students from the Department of Physical Therapy and staff from the school enterprise operations team participated together, directly engaging with citizens. They provided customized health consultations and educated visitors on the correct way to wear ankle braces based on their individual diagnostic results.
Lim Junwoo, Vice President for Industry-Academic Cooperation and head of the School Enterprise Support Team, said, "This program was a meaningful opportunity for students to apply what they have learned in their major to real-world settings. We will continue to fulfill the university’s social responsibility through a variety of programs in collaboration with the local community."
