The recent donation ceremony, held at the dean's office of the College of Medicine, was attended by Dean Kim Jongguk, CEO Park Jonggeon, associate deans, scholarship recipients, and representatives from the Busan Community Chest of Korea.

In 2023, CEO Park provided 5 million won in scholarships to three students at the Dong-A University College of Medicine, and this year, he awarded 10 million won to five students. He plans to continue supporting the scholarship fund by donating 10 million won each semester going forward.

After graduating from Dong-A University’s School of Medicine in 2004 and becoming a board-certified family physician, Park has served as CEO of Bithaneul Clinic since 2020. He is also actively engaged in social contribution activities, serving as a director of the Geumgok Welfare Association in Busan, chairperson of the Buk-gu Community Social Security Council, and a board member of both the Mugunghwa Scholarship Foundation and the Buk-gu Scholarship Foundation in Busan.

Additionally, he is known as member number 76 of the Busan Honor Society, and it is reported that his entire family has joined the Honor Society, a group for major donors.

Park stated, "I have continued my donations because I decided early on to contribute a portion of my income. I am happy to be able to help after hearing about the students’ difficulties."

Kim Beomjun, a first-year student in the pre-medical program who received the scholarship, said, "I was burdened by tuition, so I am very grateful for this support. I hope to become a doctor and have the opportunity to help future students in turn."

Dean Kim Jongguk expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thanks to CEO Park’s longstanding commitment to philanthropy, junior students have gained valuable opportunities."
