The Yangsan City Out-of-School Youth Support Center in South Gyeongsang Province held a meaningful camp in Jeju Island from November 18 to November 20, 2025, with 15 out-of-school youths for three days and two nights.
This camp offered the youths valuable time to gain new experiences through a variety of activities in Jeju's beautiful natural environment, encouraging them to cooperate and share learning with their peers.
On the first day, the participants visited Haribo Happy World, where they enjoyed the colorful world of jelly-themed attractions.
They then moved to Hamdeok Beach, where they relaxed against the backdrop of the clear blue sea and fully appreciated Jeju’s nature. In the evening, they headed to the campsite to enjoy a barbecue and took part in recreational activities, which helped them bond, communicate, and build friendships.
The second day included horseback riding and a tour of Seongsan Ilchulbong. Through horseback riding, the youths connected with nature and enjoyed interacting with the horses.
At Seongsan Ilchulbong, they experienced one of Jeju’s most iconic natural sites firsthand and were deeply impressed. In the afternoon, they visited Aqua Planet Jeju, where they observed various marine creatures and developed greater interest and understanding of the marine environment. In the evening, they explored Dongmun Market, discovering Jeju’s local specialties and experiencing the local culture. Finally, through a mindfulness program and more recreational activities, the youths gained emotional stability, relieved stress, and wrapped up their day.
On the third day, they visited 9.81 Park to enjoy a range of rides and activities, and then moved to Iho Tewoo Beach, where they spent the last part of the camp freely relaxing on the beach.
One participant shared, "I was truly happy to enjoy Jeju’s beautiful scenery with my friends. Although I felt a bit sad since this was my last program as a graduating student this year, I think the memories from these three days and two nights will stay with me for a lifetime."
