Participants visited DOBOT, a robotics automation company; Apollo Go, Baidu's autonomous driving service; Apotronics, a laser and optical technology company; BYD, an electric vehicle manufacturer; as well as the Shenzhen Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum. Through a variety of programs-including robot demonstrations, explanations of autonomous driving service operations, introductions to electric vehicle technology, and exhibitions on urban planning and future science-they were able to experience firsthand the changes taking place in future industries.
DOBOT, in particular, received the most enthusiastic response. The students showed great interest as they closely observed robots transporting and assembling objects and listened to explanations about the principles behind robotic movement.
An official from the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation stated, "Activities that offer direct experience of industrial sites are invaluable in helping youths explore potential career paths. We will continue to expand our experiential programs in partnership with global innovative companies."
Launched in 2007, the Global Cultural Experience Group is the foundation's flagship social welfare initiative. A total of 2,387 youths have participated in the program to date. The foundation plans to continue fostering future talent through visits to global companies and a variety of social contribution programs.
