A Compass for Future Agricultural Policy... Yangsan City to Conduct Comprehensive Census of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries

Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct the 2025 Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries from November 20 to December 22, 2025.

The Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is a large-scale national statistical survey conducted every five years by the National Data Agency to identify the scale, distribution, structure, and management types of agricultural, forestry, and fishery households in Korea. The data collected serves as a foundational resource for formulating agriculture, forestry, and fisheries policies.

The survey targets, as of 12:00 a.m. on December 1 (the reference date), all farming, forestry, and fishing households (including both marine and inland fisheries) and administrative villages within the jurisdiction. There are a total of 133 survey items across four categories, including name, nationality, management type, and sales amount.

The survey will be conducted in two ways: household surveys and regional surveys. For regional surveys, the head of each administrative village will respond.

Households selected for the survey have already received a notification letter with a participation number and QR code. Starting from November 20, they can participate in the survey online using the non-face-to-face method described in the instructions. For households that do not participate online, surveyors will visit in person and conduct interviews from December 1 to December 22.

To ensure smooth execution of the survey, the city will provide training for surveyors on November 25 and 26, covering survey guidelines, tablet PC usage, and safety protocols.

Park Sukjin, Director of the Information and Communication Division, stated, "The Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, conducted every five years, is an important national statistical survey serving as a foundation for the development and formulation of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries policies. We kindly request the active cooperation of all selected households."
