Gapyeong County: "Join the Winter Ski Class to Stay Healthy and Enjoy Your Hobbies"

The Gapyeong County Sports Council is hosting, with the support of Gapyeong County, the '2026 Winter Sports Ski Class,' and is recruiting 80 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

The ski class is open to residents of Gapyeong County, from third-grade elementary school students (born on or before December 31, 2016) to adults. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Gapyeong County Sports Council website from December 1 to December 11.

This ski class will be held at Elysian Gangchon in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, from January 12 to February 9, 2026. To make participation convenient for residents of towns and villages, a free shuttle bus service will be provided, along with complimentary lessons from professional instructors to ensure a safe learning environment. In particular, the program offers step-by-step customized instruction tailored to each participant's skill level, enabling both beginners and advanced skiers to learn systematically.

For this ski class, the fees for season passes and equipment rentals are as follows, including a participation fee of 50,000 won: 480,000 won for both a season pass and equipment rental, 380,000 won for a season pass only, and 200,000 won for equipment rental only for those who already have a season pass.

A representative from the Gapyeong County Sports Council stated, "We hope that through this ski class, county residents will be able to safely enjoy a variety of sports activities during the winter season," adding, "We will continue to expand seasonal sports programs to promote the health and leisure of our residents."
