Korean-American golfer Anthony Kim shot a 64 for the first time in 14 years.
On November 20 (local time), at the Riyadh Golf Club (par 71, 7,411 yards) in Saudi Arabia, during the second round of the Asian Tour PIF Saudi International (total prize money of 5 million dollars), he recorded seven birdies without a single bogey. With a two-round total of 11-under-par 131, Anthony Kim finished tied for third place, three strokes behind the leader. This is the first time in 14 years that the 40-year-old Anthony Kim has shot a 64 in a single round since the 2011 DP World Tour Singapore Open.

However, at the age of 27 in 2012, he suddenly quit golf and disappeared from the scene. Last year, after 12 years away, he returned to competition through LIV Golf. His best result in two years on the LIV Golf circuit was a tie for 25th place at the Dallas event in the United States this June. With strong performances on both days of this Asian Tour event, Anthony Kim has raised the possibility of a top finish.
This year, he ranked 55th in the LIV Golf points standings. With his eligibility to compete in the 2026 LIV Golf season in jeopardy, a win at this tournament would allow Anthony Kim to continue playing on the LIV Golf circuit in 2026.
Anthony Kim said, "My wife told me that if I make fewer bogeys than birdies, I’ll get a good score," adding, "My swing hasn’t translated well from practice to actual play for some time, but it’s gradually improving," expressing his confidence.
