Shinhan Life Volunteers Meal Service for Seniors at Seoul Senior Welfare Center

Shinhan Life announced on the 21st that it carried out a meal service volunteer activity called “Sharing Warm Hearts with Seniors” at the Seoul Senior Welfare Center in Gyeongun-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 19th.

The center is an institution that provides various welfare services to support seniors’ healthy daily lives and better living. Shinhan Life has been continuing its relationship with the center by participating in meal service volunteer activities since 2023.

During the volunteer event, Shinhan Life donated 10 million won to the center to provide nutritious special meals for the seniors.

The employees who participated in the volunteer work served nutritious foods such as grilled eel, pumpkin rice cakes, and health drinks to about 1,000 seniors who visited the center.

Recently, Shinhan Life has been engaged in various activities to promote mutual growth and a culture of sharing with the local community, including collaborations with public institutions, senior employment support projects, support for children from vulnerable groups, financial education for elderly consumers, and food-sharing volunteer work. These activities are being carried out not only in the Seoul metropolitan area but also in other regions.

A representative from Shinhan Life said, “It was especially meaningful to share warmth with seniors by serving them a hot meal as the cold winter approaches,” adding, “We will continue to pursue diverse social contribution activities across society to create social value and practice inclusive finance.”
