Samsung Electronics has established a dual leadership structure with Vice Chairman Jun Younghyun heading the Semiconductor (DS) Division and President Roh Taemoon leading the Mobile & Home Appliance (DX) Division, while also appointing new technology talent.

원본보기 아이콘On November 21, Samsung Electronics announced and implemented its 2026 regular executive appointments. Through this reshuffle, President Roh shed the "acting" title he had held for eight months since March as Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division and has now been officially promoted to Division Head. With his appointment as CEO, President Roh will continue to serve as both Head of the DX Division and Head of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business Unit.
Vice Chairman Jun Younghyun will continue to serve as both Head of the Device Solutions (DS) Division and Head of the Memory Business Unit. However, Park Honggeun has been newly appointed as President and Head of SAIT, a position previously held by Jun. Park, who is scheduled to join the company on January 1 next year, was appointed as a professor at Harvard University in 1999 and is a globally renowned scholar who has led research across basic sciences and engineering, including chemistry, physics, and electronics, for over 25 years.
In addition, Vice President Yoon Janghyun, CEO of Samsung Venture Investment, has been promoted to President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Samsung Electronics DX Division, as well as Head of Samsung Research.
Samsung Electronics stated, "By restoring the dual CEO system and continuously strengthening the competitiveness of our core businesses, we aim to ensure management stability amid uncertain internal and external environments, while also securing a foothold to lead future technologies."
